Bambi Meets Corolla
Evelyn took these photos this morning. See what a deer running into the side of your car can do:

We got the estimate earlier today, and it’s over $3,100 in damage. Thank goodness we have full coverage on the car.
It’s a good thing that it hit us on the side, when we had slowed down (to 55 MPH) to go through a town. Here’s what the speed limit normally is:

I was wondering if such a thing existed.
Does it really work as it claims to?
From hearsay in WV and WI: no, it doesn’t work.
Whitetail season starts on 11/3, so maybe they are smelling the testosterone in the air.
Thanks Deb, I had a feeling about it but wasn’t sure.
Maybe you sould install a cow catcher, like the ones that used to be mounted to the front of steam locomotives. Even if it didn’t work, it would make your car easy to find in a crowded parking lot.
You do see a LOT of trucks down here with cow catchers (though not pointed), and now I know why. Wouldn’t have done us any good, though, since the damn thing t-boned us.
I love those front grills. Very industrial-looking, like you are real serious.
