Maybe I should cut them some slack. In grammer and high school we never seemed to get past the 1890′s in history class. If we rushed, we’d cover WWI.

    I’m not a history buff but in recent times I’ve learned the importance of history.

    And anyone who saw the movie Contact would have seen a snippet about a broadcast
    from Germany. Can you guess what it was… here a hint –> 1936 Summer Olymics

    Furthermore, channels like PBS, History Channel, and a few movies have mentioned and
    even shown clips from that 1936 Summer Olymics. Hell, even in the sci-fi Star Trak had
    made reference to that time. Talk about clueless.
